This Album was done live on spot at Miranda's Rescue in Humbolt County, Fortuna California.
All of the songs were a spur of the moment impromptu, and inspired by the Love & Compassion that lives & breathes on the rescue, with the exception of the chorus & medley of "I Hope you know" which had been cultivating in our hearts for a while.
We brought a guitar, ukulele & set up our Sound System, along with our 3 channel Loop station/effects board one afternoon on the rescue next to some beautiful Doves & a Koi Pond & prayed our grateful hearts in song over the Rescue. (being a live set there's where a few songs that took a while to get going, so the 5-20 minute loop building intros may be cut out of a couple of songs(Hope you know, Living on the INside), but it's authentically live, even the loops (beatboxing, bass effect on vocals and all, and also, being live, thusly the few wrong notes are left in there as well) A little post mixing, some compression, & viola !

Listen closely & you'll hear doves sing along, the occasional Macaw outburst, Mandarin Duck quack, as well as a number of distant joyful woofs, neighs, & what may very well be Milton the Donkey singing along. Milton is one of the many many amazing stories that so touched my heart...
In fact it was in hangin out with Milton, a very jolly Donkey who wasn't so jolly when He arrived at the animal sanctuary... a rather sad & strange story brought Milton along to the animal rescue where He had hooves over a foot long, as well as very malnourished scared & angry... snap to today- Milton is very happy, hearty & loves to snuggle. As I looked around at Milton's lovely view of Horses, & African Cattle, beautiful Mountain scopes & blue skies. My eyes came across a rather large aviary with beautiful doves and something that really took us by surprise.... a wounded turkey.....

Compassion struck my heart... & this album was born

We were just so blessed by our time there, the great passion, sacrifice & commitment they live out every day & this is our gift back to them. Absolutely all proceeds from this album will go to the Animal Rescue.. you can learn more about them by going to there website, or reading on a bit...

Miranda's Rescue For Large & Small Animals is a no-kill rescue, adoption & sanctuary facility that brings relief to hundreds of distressed, neglected, abused & discarded animals, large & small, every year.

Miranda's Rescue is a 50-acre facility with 30 working acres located on the corner of Drake Hill & Sandy Prairie Roads in Fortuna CA.

Miranda's Rescue, saves dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, small mammals, domestic and game birds, tropical birds, livestock, & exotic animals such as alpacas, emus & llamas and many whatever other critter needs their help and they can accommodate. Some of their animals have found permanent refuge at their facility. There's no type of animal that they won't rescue. Even camels have taken residence there before. Many of the animals are adopted out to loving homes while others live permanently on the rescue grounds as sanctuary residents.

Miranda's Rescue has been recognized by the California State Assembly as the "Best Sanctuary For Abused Animals in Northern California" & the Red Cross named founder, Shannon Miranda, one of "Humboldt County's Heroes". The California State Assembly also recognized Shannon for his help with the probation youth of Humboldt County.

Shannon Miranda, & Dean Paris' dedication, passion & heart for wounded souls have uplifted & changed the course of many lives. Finding many forever homes for the rescued animals & bringing endless smiles to the homes in which they now reside, & endlessly pouring opportunity & hope into the community.
